Dominican Republic - Cuba 66:65

Dominican Republic overcame Cuba 66-65 on the way to the Final of the Central American and Caribbean Games 2023. It was Cuba to dominate the first half as they won first two quarters and led 9 points at the halftime. Dominican Republic however produced a massive 21-9 surge in the last stanza to seal the victory.
Yohanna Morton (172-G-1987, college: RMU) top-scored for the winners the 17 points and Esmery Martinez (188-F) poured in 14. Elianis Armentero (175-G-2000) answered with 14 points in a loss, whilst Bexy Claro (2001) added 13.
