Dominican Republic fire past Nicaragua for third straight win in El Salvador

Dominican Republic recorded the third straight win at the Central American and Caribbean Games. They stormed past Nicaragua to stay undefeated in Group A. Dominican Republic opened a 25-13 lead after ten minutes. They followed with a massive 30-11 run in the third period to clear off for good. Gerardo Suero (196-SF-1989, college: Albany) produced 17 points, while Luis Santos (203-C-1994, college: St.Louis) added 16 points for Dominican Republic. Jared Ruiz (188-G/F-1992) answered with 15 points for Nicaragua.
