Dominican Republic see off Puerto Rico to reach Final in El Salvador

Dominican Republic advanced into the Final game at the Central American and Caribbean Games. They overcame Puerto Rico in the first semifinal clash. Luis Santos (203-C-1994, college: St.Louis) posted 21 points to lead the charge.
Puerto Rico used a 24-14 run in the second period to gain a 46-39 halftime advantage. Dominican Republic pulled within 5 points at the final intermission. They erupted for 32 points in the fourth period to snatch the victory at the end. Victor Liz (190-SG-1986, agency: BMS Sport Agency) accounted for 16 points in the win. Jorge Pacheco-Ortiz (188-G-1998, college: Liberty) and Dimencio Vaughn (196-G/F-1997, college: Rider) had 20 points each for Puerto Rico.
