Araneta's double-double lands him Hoops Agents Player of the Week award

Malvin Araneta had a great game in the last round for Hammers and receives a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 4.
He had a double-double of 25 points and 22 rebounds, while his team lost the game against the league's best team Western Union (#1, 3-0) 75-91. Hammers maintains the 9th position in Cayman Islands league. They are still not able to win a single game in the league yet. Too late to salvage the team, which is currently ranked such low. They already lost 3 games and recorded no victories. Araneta just recently signed at Hammers and it was his first game, where he immediately became new team's leader. Araneta has impressive league stats. He is in league's top in points (3rd best: 25.0ppg).

Second best performed player last round was Jathan Barnes (160-G) of top-ranked Western Union. He is a guard in his first season at Western Union. In the last game Barnes recorded impressive 20 points and 6 rebounds. Of course he led Western Union to another comfortable win 91-75 over Hammers (#9, 0-3) being unquestionably team leader. This victory allowed Western Union to move up to 1st position in the standings. A very good start of the season for his team, which won so far all 3 games without any defeat. Barnes is a newcomer at Western Union and quickly became one of team's most reliable players.

Third place about best performers goes to another Western Union's star - guard Carson Fagan (G). Fagan scored 13 points and grabbed ten rebounds. He was another key player of Western Union, helping his team with a 91-75 easy win against Hammers (#9, 0-3). Western Union started extremely well this year. They recorded 3 victories without losing a single game. Fagan turns to be one of the very best players in the league while he is also a leader of the top team having his eyes on the championship title. Fagan has a great season in Cayman Islands. After only 2 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in assists with 2.5apg (7th best).
