Thunder keeps Ebanks for another season- July 16, 2021
He has a double citizenship as he also holds British passport. He has played there for the last four seasons. Ebanks missed last two seasons and had longer break from professional basketball. He was a member of Cayman Islands Senior National Team between 2007 and 2017. He is a very experienced player. Ebanks has quite traveled the world as his pro career brought him to five different countries on three different continents (Europe, Latin America and of course North America). He has played previously professionally in Germany (Schwenningen and Hannover Korbjaeger), Portugal (Angra), United Kingdom (London Lions, Cheshire Phoenix, Mohawks and Kestrels), APBL (Buffalo S.) and Cayman Islands (Warriors). Among many awards he played in the final of British NBL Division One in 2019. He was also voted to Eurobasket.com All-British NBL Division One Domestic Player of the Year between 2018 and 2019. Ebanks attended Daemen College until 2010 and it will be his twelfth (!!!) season in pro basketball. Ebanks' game is described as: Jorge is a great team player and leader on the floor..Jorge is also very good at getting to the basketball and finishing strong at the rim..He runs the floor very well using his speed and quickness to cause problems for defenders..He can also shoot the mid-range and 3pointer shot very effectively to make his game versatile..Jorge knows how to create his own shot very well..Ebanks plays great on and off the ball defense and reads the passing lanes very well..He also rebounds the ball well from the guard position..Jorge managed to lead his club Worthing Thunder to the NBL Division 1 Championship in 2019 ..He had to skip last season due to some family medical issues but he is now ready for the new challenge to his professional career...
