Alexander Thompson claims Cayman Islands National Leaguer Hoops Agents weekly honour

Alexander Thompson (PF) put on an amazing game in the last round for SKL Semitars and that's him to receive a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 7.
The power forward had the game-high 30 points adding seven rebounds for SKL Semitars in his team's victory, helping them to outclass, the league's bottom-ranked team SLK Hoods (#11, 0-5) with 37-point margin 83-46. SKL Semitars is placed at 3rd position in Cayman Islands National Leaguer. They would have been even better if they did not have these two lost games earlier in Regular Season. SKL Semitars will need more victories to improve their 4-2 record. In the team's last game Thompson had a remarkable 86.7% from 2-point range. He just recently signed at SKL Semitars, being already a very valuable addition to the team. Thompson has impressive league stats. He is in league's top in points (7th best: 20.4ppg) and averages solid 2.2bpg and 61.2% FGP.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was forward David Swan (175-F) of Shockwaves. Swan impressed basketball fans with 26 points, 8 rebounds and 3 assists. Of course he led Shockwaves to another comfortable win outscoring Carona (#10, 0-4) 106-49. Shockwaves' 6th position in the standings has not changed. His team lost some distance to top teams. But a 3-2 record is not bad and everything may still change. Swan is one of the most experienced players at Shockwaves and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 19.2ppg (#8). He also registered 5.0 boards per game.

The third best performed player last round was Brian Lacap of second-ranked Plantito. Lacap showcased his all-around game by recording 23 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists in the last round. He was a key player of Plantito, leading his team to a 88-86 win against the lower-ranked U17 (#8, 2-4). Plantito is closer and closer to top of the standings. They will still need more victories. But 4-1 record is not that bad... Lacap has a great season in Cayman Islands. After only 4 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 27.8ppg (2nd best) and assists with 3.0apg (7th best).
