National League Round 12 (Regular Season): Plantito keep a leadership position

There are only two more rounds left in the Regular Season in National League. Here is the last round review presented by Job Market.

The game had a very big importance for second-ranked Plantito as it allowed them to take a leadership position. Plantito defeated 9th ranked Cayman FH at home 84-73. Strangely Cayman FH outrebounded Plantito 49-35 including a 20-9 advantage in offensive rebounds. It was a good game for forward Jeonell Ramos who led his team to a victory with 25 points. Forward Prisfel Cruz contributed with 12 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. Canadian forward Nick Berardi replied with a double-double by scoring 28 points and 12 rebounds for Cayman FH. As mentioned above they are alone now at the top position. Cayman FH at the other side keeps the ninth place with four games lost. Cayman FH will play next round against Lions trying to get back on the winning streak. Plantito will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game.
Important game to mention about took place in . Top-ranked Sol Blazers (6-0) saved a 2-point victory on the road edging 6th ranked Lions (4-4) 69-67 on Monday evening. Worth to mention a great performance of Canadian point guard Tarik Smith-James (183) who helped to win the game recording 34 points (!!!) and Shaad OGarro who added 19 points and 8 rebounds during the contest. The best for the losing side was the former international forward Jerome Narcisse (193-1987, college: SWOSU) with a double-double by scoring 18 points, 16 rebounds and 5 assists. Undefeated Sol Blazers have an impressive six-game winning streak. Defending champion moved-up to second place. Newly promoted Lions keep the sixth position with four games lost. Sol Blazers will play against SKL Semitars (#5) in George Town in the next round. Lions will play against Cayman FH and hope to get back on the winning track.

Warriors will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. SKL Semitars will play against the league's second-placed Sol Blazers (#2) and hope to secure a win.

In the last game of round 12 IRG Astros beat Shockwaves on the road 79-72.
The most impressive performance of 12th round was 25 points and 13 rebounds by Curtis Wilson of Cayman FH.



Shockwaves - IRG Astros 72-79

No shocking result in a game when top-ranked IRG Astros (5-0) beat on the road 7th ranked Shockwaves (3-3) 79-72 on Thursday. IRG Astros outrebounded Shockwaves 40-29 including 26 on the defensive glass. The winners were led by power forward DeAndre Simpson who scored that evening 8 points, 19 rebounds and 4 assists and the former international forward Jake Whittaker supported him with 13 points and 13 rebounds. Even 23 points and 6 rebounds by forward David Swan (175) did not help to save the game for Shockwaves. American guard Josh Barrett (193, college: Toccoa Falls) added 13 points and 6 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. IRG Astros have an impressive five-game winning streak. They moved-up to third place. Loser Shockwaves keep the seventh position with three games lost. IRG Astros will meet bottom-ranked SLK Hoods (#11) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Shockwaves will play against U17 (#8) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
