U17 Mexico - U17 Cayman Islands 96-31
Mexico registered first victory in Gurabo. They cruised past Cayman Islands 96-31 for 1-0 record in Group A. Thanks to this win, Mexico already booked a spot for the Semifinals. On the other side, Cayman Islands dropped to 0-2. They will continue in Classification Round from 5th-7th place. Maria Begona Faz Davalos stepped up for the winners with 16 points and 7 rebounds. Daniela Maria Soto Gomez followed her with 15 points and 5 rebs, while Meliza Raquel Ramirez Casillas added 14 points and 9 boards. In the loosing squad, La-Torae Joan Nixon shined with double-double of 18 points and 10 rebounds. Their second scorer was Chloe Angelica Powery with only 6 pts. Quarters: 36-3, 20-9, 22-11, 18-8. Mexico will meet Dominican Republic in the game for the first place.

U17 US Virgin Islands - U17 Bahamas 60-59
Both teams failed in Day One of the U17 CentroBasket in Gurabo. It was a very exciting meeting and US Virgin Islands managed to grab 60-59 thriller win for 1-1 record in Preliminary Group B. On the other side, Bahamas dropped to 1-2 but still has a chance to reach the Semifinals. Edidiong Beulah Utibe was totally the best player in this game. She registered monster double-double of 27 points and 23 rebounds for the winners. Kadesfha Barry and Shaquana Quanae Iona Foy helped with 7 points each. In defeat, Raven Thompson collected 18 points and 7 rebs. Kaylicia Laing had 11 points and 6 boards, while Brea Forbes stopped to 10 pts. Quarters: 14-17, 16-12, 14-20, 16-10. On Friday, US Virgin Islands will meet Puerto Rico. Bahamas will meet Guatemala in do-or-die game.

U17 Guatemala - U17 Puerto Rico 30-78
Puerto Rico jumped to 2-0 record in Gurabo. The host of U17 CentroBasket destroyed Guatemala 78-30 in the second day of the competition. Thanks to this win, Puerto Rico already secured a spot for the Semifinals. Guatemala dropped to 1-1 and still has a chance to reach the next stage. They will have to beat Bahamas today. Diamalises Rivera Barcelo stepped up for the winners with 15 points and 8 rebounds. Aleana Lyd Leon Garcia scored 13 pts and Mileyshka Marie Correa Lema added 10 points, plus 6 boards. In Guatemala, Nancy Gabriela Izaguirre Rivera had 7 points and 7 rebounds, while Angelica Maria Jose Cardenas Lantan stopped to 4 pts and 5 rebs. Quarters: 3-26, 23-8, 16-8, 13-11. Championship continues today.
