Puerto Rico won the Gold in Gurabo. They cruised past Mexico 63-44 in the Big Final to end U17 CentroBasket undefeated. Silver belongs to Mexico. Diamalises Rivera Barcelo stepped up for the host of this event with 17 points and 13 rebounds. Aleana Lyd Leon Garcia had 13 points and 6 boards, while Krystal Luciano Mendez added 11 points, 6 boards and 7 assists. In the loosing squad, Narda Valeria Salceda Jimenez collected 12 points and 6 rebs. Meliza Raquel Ramirez Casillas, Maria Begona Faz Davalos and two more players in Mexico scored 6 points each. Quarters: 18-9, 15-11, 17-12, 13-12. Puerto Rico won the Preliminary Group B with perfect 3-0. After that they eliminated Dominican Republic 59-43 in the Semifinals.

U17 Dominican Republic - U17 Bahamas 80-46
Dominican Republic won the Bronze at the U17 CentroBasket in Gurabo. They destroyed Bahamas on Sunday to finish as No.3. On the other side, Bahamas stays without the medal. Yamel Vanessa Abreu Alvarez stepped up for the winners with 26 points and 5 rebounds. Frabel Feliz Rodriguez had 17 points and 14 boards, while Anyelina Santos Rosario added 12 pts and 9 rebs. In Bahamas, Brea Forbes collected 19 pts and 6 rebs. Their second scorer was Taneka Kristine Sandiford. Dominican Republic took control on Bahamas from the very beginning. They made 25-8 lead in the first ten minutes and were looking comfortable. Until the halftime Dominican Republic jumped to 40-16 and the game winner was already known. Second half was just the formality and Dominican Republic had no troubles to win the Bronze.

Guatemala finished U17 CentroBasket as No.5. They celebrated 72-48 win against US Virgin Islands in the last day of the championship in Gurabo. US Virgins Islands ended as the sixth ranked team. Guatemala shined in the second and third quarter, what was enough for the victory in this meeting. Emily Rosales Quan exploded with 22 points and 23 rebounds for the winners. Angelica Maria Jose Cardenas Lantan had 22 points and 6 assists, while Virginia Blanca Argentina Pinto Trujillo added 10 points and 6 rebs. In defeat, Shaquana Quanae Iona Foy top-scored with just 11 points. Edidiong Beulah Utibe had 8 points and the same number of boards. US Virgin Islands managed to resist just in the first period, which still belonged to Guatemala 14-15. Guatemala made 13-21 for the next ten minutes and blasted Guatemala 6-20 in Q3. Last period was just the formality and Guatemala won this game with comfortable 72-48.
