Ornella Rivera (168-PG-99) posted 16 points to pace Mexico past Guatemala at the tournament. The hosts improved at 2-0 record following the win. Mexico dominated from start to finish. They established a comfortable 45:13 halftime lead. Mexico held their opponents to just 18 points in the second half to ease to the victory. Diana Villalobos (168-SG-98) delivered 15 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. Ashley Rosales (173-G-99) answered with 8 points and 9 rebounds for Guatemala.

El Salvador - Honduras 52-65
Honduras celebrated the first victory in Mexico City. They edged El Salvador for 1-1 record. Danna Grenald (183-PF-99) stepped up with 26 points, 31 rebounds and 8 assists to pace the winners. Honduras built a 37:19 halftime lead. They extended the gap at 23-point mark before the fourth quarter and rallied to the victory. Nelly Leva (171-PG) finished with 23 points and 7 rebounds for Honduras. Laura Rivas (171-PG-00) answered with 12 points for El Salvador.
