They crushed British Virgin Islands for 1-1 record. Gabriela Vallecillo (168-PG-00) scored 17 points to pace the winners. Guatemala recorded a 43:17 halftime lead. They unloaded 55 points in the second half to rally to the victory. Salma Barrios (160-F-00) accounted for 16 points in the win. Shauliqua Fahie (173-F-00) responded with 14 points and 11 rebounds for British Virgin Islands. Group BSurinam - Bahamas 69-86Bahamas outgunned Surinam for 1-1 record in Group B. Valicia Demeritte (F-00) stepped up with 20 points and 8 boards in the win. Bahamas jumped to a 22:9 lead after ten minutes. They followed with a 21:14 rally in the fourth quarter to ensure the winning outcome. Alana Pinder (G-00) and Tanea Bowleg (G-01) had 17 points each for Bahamas. Jolaine Nijman (02) notched 17 points for Surinam. Puerto Rico - Costa Rica 88-22 Puerto Rico thumped Costa Rica to improve at 2-0 record in Group B. Alicia Penzo (167-PG-00) nailed 14 points to lead the hosts. Puerto Rico recorded a comfortable 47:8 halftime lead. They held Costa Rica to just 14 points in the second half and cruised to the victory. Julianna Rosario (173-G-00) had 12 points for the winners.
