Group A

Guatemala - El Salvador 28-62
El Salvador knocked down Guatemala to advance into the semifinal stage. Alexis Rodriguez (170-PF-00) stepped up with 16 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists in the victory. El Salvador registered a 32:16 halftime lead. El Salvador went on a 21:5 run in the third term to clear off for good. Kimberly Villalobos (178-C-00) had 15 points and 11 boards in the victory. Gabriela Vallecillo (168-PG-00) and Arlene Gonzalez (160-F-00) had 6 points each for Guatemala.

British Virgin Islands - Mexico 29-110
Mexico clinched the third straight win in Group A. They raced past British Virgin Islands to remain undefeated. Sofia Payan (167-SF-00) scored 16 points to pace the winners. Mexico jumped to a comfortable 57:20 halftime lead and never looked back en route to the win. Karla Martinez (180-F-00) had 15 points in the victory. Shauliqua Fahie (173-F-00) replied with 9 points and 9 rebounds for British Virgin Islands.

Group B

Bahamas - Puerto Rico 35-99
Puerto Rico dropped Bahamas to finish the preliminary round undefeated. Nairimar Vargas (182-F-00) tallied 16 points for the hosts. Puerto Rico established a comfortable 49:19 halftime lead. They went on a 28:5 run in the third term to clear off for good. Nadechka Reyes (162-G-00) had 14 points in the win. Valicia Demeritte (F-00) had 7 points for Bahamas.

Costa Rica - Surinam 71-53
Costa Rica outgunned Surinam to seal their semifinal appearance. Valeria Gonzalez (162-SG-02) nailed 18 points and grabbed 7 rebounds in the win. Surinam recorded a 13:7 lead ten minutes into the game. Costa Rica responded with a 16:8 run in the second frame to eke out a 23:21 halftime lead. They erupted for 48 points in the second half to race to the victory. Laura Castro (179-F-00) and Fiorella Mendez (160-PG-01) tossed in 8 points each for the winning side. Jolaine Nijman (02) replied with 10 points for Surinam.
