Puerto Rico and Mexico reach Final in Arecibo

Puerto Rico - El Salvador 89-41
Puerto Rico advanced into the title game in Arecibo. The hosts thumped El Salvador in the semifinal clash on Friday. Nadechka Reyes (162-G-00) delivered 21 points and 8 rebounds in the victory. Puerto Rico accumulated a 35:26 halftime lead. They did not slow down in the second half. Puerto Rico went on a 54:15 rally to ice the victory. Coralys Crespo (167-G-00) had 20 points in the win. Kimberly Villalobos (178-C-00) notched 8 points for El Salvador.

Mexico - Costa Rica 68-33
Mexico stormed past Costa Rica to enter Final in Arecibo. Angela Carrasco (178-C-01) scored 15 points and grabbed 17 rebounds to lead the winners. Mexico led by only 4 points at the interval 22:18. But they stepped on the gas in the second half. Mexico went on a 46:15 run after the big break to clear off for good. Rosa Montes (174-SG-00) tallied 14 points for the winners. Valeria Gonzalez (162-SG-02) had 9 points for Costa Rica.
