Panama won U17 Centrobasket Qualifiers. They finished with a 5-0 record with the final win over Nicaragua, 66-50. Panama started with an 18-5 run and dominated the second half. Maria de Gracia (177-PF-2006) top-scored for the winners with 19 points and Vivian Grenald (183-PF-2009) delivered 15. Roselyn Sanchez (164-SG-2007) followed them with 11 points in a win. Christa Ramos (170-PG-2006) replied with 13 points in a loss, whilst Leisha Hodgson (180-PF-2007) poured in 11. The four best teams qualified for the FIBA Centrobasket U17 Women's Championship 2023: Panama, Costa Rica, Nicaragua and Guatemala. |
