Puerto Rican National Team against

  Puerto Rico won Centrobasket 2001 beating 86-73 in final game the host team, Mexico.
The third place went to Panama, which won the 3rd-4th place Final 93-82 over Virgin Islands. These four teams are now qualified for the Pan American Tournment, scheduled for August 16-26 in Neuquen, Argentina.

Point guard Jair Peralta also had 10 assists as Panama kept their semifinal hopes alive.
Virgin Islands – Dominican Rep. 101-92 (Heywood 20, Victor 16, White 16, Sheppard 12, Trimmingham 12; Martinez 25, Gillespie 15, Horford 10, Western 10)
Under-21 center Jack Martinez added 15 rebounds, but his efforts were not enough to keep the Dominican Republic from suffering a major upset loss.

Puerto Rico all but clinches their spot in the tornament of the Americas with an easy win,
