Paula Moya
26-year old guard Paula Moya (174-G-90) had a great game in the last round for second-ranked Chile and receives a Player of the Week award for round 14.
She had the game-high 23 points adding six rebounds and five assists for Chile in her team's victory, helping them to crush Libertad SF (#7, 2-11) with 25-point margin 80-55. Chile is placed at 2nd position in Chilean Liga Femenina. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Chile will need more victories to improve their 10-4 record. In the team's last game Moya had a remarkable 69.2% from 2-point range. It was one of impressive evenings for her as usually she does not deliver so high stats. Moya has impressive league stats. She is in league's top in points (8th best: 8.1ppg) and assists (2nd best: 2.3apg).

Second best performed player last round was Francisca Rojas (176-F-93) of Brisas. She is international forward in her first season at Brisas. In the last game Rojas recorded impressive double-double of 15 points and 11 rebounds. Bad luck as Brisas lost that game 54-71 to the higher-ranked Sportiva Ita. (#1, 11-1). Brisas managed to keep the same 5th spot in the standings. Her team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 5-9 record. Rojas is a newcomer at Brisas and quickly became one of team's most reliable players. She belongs to the best scorers in the league with 21.6ppg (#1). She also registered 8.9 boards per game.

Third place about best performers goes to Narlyn Mosquera of league's leader Sportiva Ita.. Mosquera showcased her all-around game by recording 18 points, seven rebounds and four assists in the last round. She was a key player of Sportiva Ita., leading her team to a 71-54 easy win against the lower-ranked Brisas (#5, 5-9). Many experts and fans count Sportiva Ita. as a contender for championship title. Another victory and another confirmation that they may be right. Just look at their record: 11 victories and only one lost game. They are currently at the very top of the standings. Mosquera has a great season in Chile. After 12 games, she made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 20.4ppg (2nd best) and rebounds with 12.1rpg (3rd best).

Other top performing players last week:
4. Paola Naranjo (183-F-78) of Libertad SF - 17 points, 13 rebounds and 3 assists
5. Francisca Salvatierra (173-G-94) of Chile - 20 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists
6. Arlenys Gonzalez (185-C-87) of Boston College - 14 points, 17 rebounds and 3 assists
7. Fabiola Pardo (165-G-76) of Sportiva Ita. - 10 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists

9. Jessica Webar) of Brisas - 16 points, 5 rebounds and 3 assists
10. Kasandra Espinoza) of Sergio Ceppi - 12 points, 12 rebounds and 3 assists

The Player of the week is chosen based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
