Terrell
Taylor
American Center Terrell Taylor (203-C-81) had a great game in the last round for Osorno, receiving a Latinbasket.com Player of the Week award for round 4.
The 36-year old player had a double-double of 35 points and 11 rebounds, while his team beat CDU Catolica (#4, 1-3) 100-94. Osorno is placed at 5th position in their group in Chilean Liga Nacional. Osorno is a typical solid league team placed somewhere in the middle or a little bit lower in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 2-2 record. In the team's last game Taylor had a remarkable 55.0% from 2-point range. He turned to be Osorno's top player in his first season with the team. Former Virginia Tech star has very solid stats this year. Taylor is league's best scorer averaging so far 32.5ppg. Taylor is in league's top in rebounds (9th best: 9.0rpg) and averages impressive 61.0% FGP.

The second best player in last round's games was 37-year old Colombian Luis Julio (201-F/C-80) of league's leader Las Animas. Julio had a very good evening with a double-double of 22 points and 14 rebounds. Of course Las Animas cruised to a 72-62 relatively comfortable win over slightly lower-ranked Los Leones (#2, 2-2). It was definitely game of the week between two contenders to the top position in Conferencia Centro. Las Animas consolidated its place in the very top position of the standings. A very good start of the season for his team, which won so far all 4 games without any defeat. Julio is a newcomer at Las Animas, but is already one of team's top players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 21.3ppg (#7). He also registered 16.0 boards per game.

Third on the list of top players last round was Nigerian center Reggie Okosa (207-C-80) of league's top team CDE Talca. Okosa scored 28 points and grabbed eleven rebounds (!!!). He was a key player of CDE Talca, leading his team to a 83-82 win against #3 ranked AB Ancud. CDE Talca confirms their top position in Conferencia Sur. Their record at this point is 3 victories and 1 lost games. Okosa has a great season in Chile. After only 3 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 24.3ppg (4th best) and rebounds with 12.0rpg (3rd best).

The Player of the week is chosen based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
