Argentinian Daniela Gomez (85) had an amazing evening in the last round for Madre Paulina, receiving a Interperformances Player of the Week award for round 16.
The 33-year old player was the main contributor (42 points, seven rebounds and six assists) to her team's victory, helping them to outclass, the league's bottom-ranked team Osorno Damas (#5, 0-7) with 46-point margin 91-45. Madre Paulina maintains the 3rd position in their group in Chilean Liga Femenina. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Madre Paulina will need more victories to improve their 4-3 record. In the team's last game Gomez had a remarkable 73.7% from 2-point range. She turned to be Madre Paulina's top player in her first season with the team. Daniela Gomez has solid league stats. She is in league's top in points (5th best: 18.7ppg), assists (8th best: 3.6apg) and averages impressive 3.4spg and 52.4% FGP.

The second best player in last round's games was 40-year old former international forward Paola Naranjo (183-F-78) of Los Leones. Naranjo had a very good evening with a double-double of 19 points and 18 rebounds. Of course Los Leones cruised to a 81-69 relatively comfortable win over slightly higher-ranked Chile (#2, 13-2). It was definitely game of the week between two contenders to the top position in Centro. Los Leones consolidated its place in top 3 of the standings. Her team's 11-4 record is not bad at all. Naranjo is a newcomer at Los Leones, but is already one of team's top players.

Third on the list of top players last round was former international guard Javiera Novion (170-G-87) of league's second-best Chile. Novion showcased her all-around game by recording 28 points, ten rebounds and seven assists in the last round. Despite Novion's great performance Chile lost 69-81 to #3 ranked Los Leones. But her team cannot count on just a single shooter as she also needs help of the other teammates especially in such crucial game. Chile had another "accident". It may be a crucial game. Novion's teammates are also very good. That's why having such high stats is even more impressive. Novion has a great season in Chile. After 15 games, she made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 21.9ppg (2nd best) and assists with 4.1apg (6th best).

Other top performing players last week:
