Manny Suarez
It's still too early stage of the Regular Season in Liga Nacional, but even now we can clearly see the differece between stronger teams and outsiders. The round was rather attractive and full of interesting results. The round ended with loss of the undefeated team, derby games, favorites losing the games and games ending by tiny margin. Here is the last round review presented by ESL.

The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of AB Ancud (3-2) at the home court on Saturday night. Hosts were defeated by CD Castro (3-1) 81-73. The best player for the winners was international center Manny Suarez (208-93, college: Creighton) who had a double-double by scoring 26 points and 13 rebounds. American Walter Baxley (193-84, college: Mars Hill) chipped in 27 points and 6 assists. At the other side the best for losing team was international guard Sebastian Suarez (193-91, college: Portland St.) who recorded 22 points and 8 rebounds (went 8 for 8 at the free throw line). CD Castro are looking forward to face Deportivo Valdivia (#5) at home in the next round. AB Ancud will have a break next round.
Important game to mention about took place in Osorno. Osorno Basquetbol (2-4) saved a 2-point victory at home edging Aleman (3-3) 76-74 on Sunday evening. It was a good game for American forward Darnell Dodson (201-89, college: S.Mississippi) who led his team to a victory with 33 points (!!!) and 9 rebounds. Dida Pereira contributed with 16 points and 10 rebounds for the winners. Colombian-Venezuelan center Luis Julio (201-80) answered with a double-double by scoring 19 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field) for Aleman. Aleman's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Osorno Basquetbol will play against Las Animas (#3) in Valdivia in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Aleman will have a break next round.
A very close game took place in Quilpue between Los Leones and Temuco. Los Leones (1-4) got a very close home victory over Temuco (4-1). Los Leones managed to escape with a 3-point win 81-78 on Saturday evening. It was a great evening for Eduardo Marechal who led his team to a victory scoring 19 points and 7 rebounds.
