This derby game ended with only two-point defeat on the road of 6th ranked Osorno Basquetbol (5-9) to third ranked Aleman (8-6) 80-78 on Sunday evening. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Osorno Basquetbol. They outrebounded Osorno Basquetbol 44-26 including a 35-21 advantage in defensive rebounds. American-Nigerian Ikenna Mbamalu (191-91, college: La-Lafayette) fired 37 points (!!!) and 6 rebounds for the winners. Jamaican-Canadian forward Dwayne Smith (198-89, college: G.Washington, agency: Interperformances) chipped in 17 points and 13 rebounds. Aleman's coach used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. Aleman maintains third place with 8-6 record behind leader Temuco. Osorno Basquetbol at the other side keeps the sixth position with nine games lost. An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Temuco. First ranked Temuco faced 4th placed CD Castro. Host Temuco (11-4) defeated guests from Castro (7-6) 111-101.
