Karesi Spor (TBL) strengthened their roster with addition of 29-year old American center Gene Teague (206-122kg-89, college: Seton Hall). He started the season at AB Ancud in Chilean Liga Nacional. In 21 games he recorded very impressive stats: 17.0ppg, 8.9rpg and 1.0apg this season. The last summer Teague played at Capitol (Metropolitan) in Uruguayan league where in 16 games he averaged remarkable 18.4ppg, 9.3rpg and 1.8apg. Good season as he was selected League Player of the Week. Among other achievements his team made it to the Big East Tournament Semifinals in 2014. Teague received also MVC All-Freshman Team award back in 2010 at his college time. Teague is a very experienced player. Thanks to his pro career he managed to play on three different continents (Europe, Latin America and of course North America) in seven different countries. Teague has played previously professionally in Argentina (Argentino and Ameghino), Belgium (Leuven Bears), France (ALM Evreux), Greece (Aiolos Trikallon), Turkey (Turk Telekom) and Czech Republic (BK Usti nad Labem). He attended Seton Hall University until 2014 and it is his fifth season in pro basketball.
