GUERREROS WON THE FIFTH, IS THE CHAMPION OF THE LIGA DIRECTV II - 2013 - Dec 1, 2013

Guerreros de Bogot is the Champion of the 2013 Liga Directv II, defeating in the 5th game the Academia de la Montana 91 84
Academia bring the Dominican scoring guard Gerardo Suero to replace the injured Heissler Guillent in this last game and Suero start on fire leading the Academia with its first 5 points of the game, but quickly the Guerreros began to make adjustments on defense and top play calm and smart against the Academias zone defense,.
Quickly Calvin Warner (201-F-80, college: Jacksonville) become in the x-factor of the night, the power forward on fire hit 3 of 4 three pointers in the game and was ustoplable in the paint while Academia was missing Guillermo Araujo who had a discrete game with just 2 points and 5 rebounds.
The end of the third quarter and the start of the fourth was marked the best moment of Guerreros whose depth was clearly marked with 5 guys scoring in doubl figures, Warner, Lamonte, Rodgers, Hernandez and Aragn, for the Academia the 30 plus night of Suero and Dago Pena was not enough, both players shot 54 of the team 70 shots in the game.
Guerreros is the well deserved champion of the Liga Directv II 2013.

BAMBUQUEROS UTRAHUILCA IS THE CHAMPION OF FIRST PROFESSIONAL BASKETBALL DIVISION CHAMPIONSHIP - Jun 12, 2013

Bambuqueros Utrahuilca sweep the Bukaros Freskaleche to became in the champion of the first Edition of the Professional Basketball Division, Liga Directv.
Bambuqueros played its best game of the playoffs with a strong defense that limited Bukaros just to 68 pts and 33% filed goal average including 12 turnovers, Bukaros offensive again struggled in the execution, most of possessions finished with just to players touching the ball and a forced shot.
The first half finished with Bambuqueros 2 points lead and looks like the locals made the adjustment but entering the second half the game start to change and Bambuqueros began to open a 8 points gap, five Neivas players scored in double figures leaded by the series MVP Stalin Ortiz (190-G-81, college: Valparaiso) with 18 points, Enielsen Guevara also posted 18.
Bambuqueros was the favorite form the beginning, his powerfull Colombian roster finally was the key for the success, and in the final playoffs his defense very strong and the motor of his offensive.
