Sabios de Manizales have signed American forward Brandon Thompson (206-C-1998, college: Tohono CC, agency: VSG) for the upcoming season in Colombia's LBP.

Thompson heads to Colombia after a strong recent run with the Clermont Crocs of the UBA, where he averaged 14.4 points, 10.2 rebounds and 1.2 blocks per game, while shooting 51.4% from the field. His production inside helped lead the Crocs to the Final Four of the UBA Classic.

Thompson also competed this summer in the United Pro Invitational presented by Sports Illustrated, suiting up for the Illinois Energy. He recorded 6 points and 7 rebounds during the event, continuing to showcase his rebounding and interior presence against professional competition.

The move to Colombia adds another international stop to Thompson's professional career. In 2025, he played for Brujos Izalco in El Salvador's Liga Mayor de Baloncesto. During the Clausura season, Thompson appeared in nine games and averaged 7.0 points, 9.1 rebounds and 1.3 blocks per game.

With professional experience in Latin America and a productive season in the United States behind him, Thompson now joins Demariontay Hall as the club prepares for its LBP campaign.
