Montano's double-double lands him Player of the Week award

29-year old guard Hayner Montano (190-G-1997) had a great game in the last round for second-ranked Toros Del Valle and receives a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 4.
He had a double-double of 20 points and 10 rebounds, while his team crushed, the league's bottom-ranked team Carrib.Storm (#4, 0-4) with 20-point margin 88-68. Toros maintains the 2nd position in their group in the Colombian league. They maintain a perfect record without any lost game in the league. But it's just the very beginning of the season and Toros won both games without losing any. It's too early to say anything as the standings can be changed completely after next round. Montano has many years of experience at Toros, through which he has constantly improved. Montano has impressive league stats. He is in league's top in points (6th best: 14.0ppg), rebounds (6th best: 7.5rpg) and averages solid 41.7% from behind 3-point line.

Second best performed player last round was Luis Viloria (F-1999) of Caribbean Storm Islands. He is a forward in his 2nd season at Carrib.Storm. In the last game Viloria recorded an impressive 20 points, 7 rebounds and 2 assists. Bad luck as Storm lost that game 68-88 to Conferencia B's leader Toros (#2, 2-0). It was definitely game of the week between two contenders to the top position in Conferencia B. Carrib.Storm still maintains its place in the top 4 of the standings, even despite this loss. 4 lost games are too many considering they did not win any game. Viloria is well-known at Carrib.Storm and he already established his position as one of the team's leaders.

Third place about best performers goes to another Carrib.Storm's star - Jim James (190-SF-2002). James scored 23 points and grabbed 7 rebounds. Despite James' great performance the Caribbean Storm Islands lost 50-107 to #2 ranked Toros. But his team cannot count on just these two top stars as they also need help of the other teammates especially in such crucial game. Storm can only dream about fighting for top spots in Conferencia B. They have awful season losing so far all 4 games. James has individually a great season in Colombia.
