Bernardo
Fitz-Gonzalez
One question to start, maybe a trivia question, what does Bernardo Gonzalez has in common with Coach K and with Phil Jackson?, hip replacement!!!

Bernardo Gonzalez has been making a reputation as one of the colombia's best coaches , his career is not long but his teams, Patriotas, Bucaros and Aguilas had always played a modern and dymamic style of Basketball, the players believes him and the results shows his good job.
Carlos Parra called him back to guide the Bucaros to another successful season and Latinbasket reached Gonzalez to know his thoughts about this new adventure:

LB/ Coach, how's your health
BG/ I'm actually fully healed and ready to work,

Bernardo underwent a hip replacement surgery months ago and now is ready to be back in the sideline.

LB/ Who are the imports for the Bucaros 2017
BG/ Three young and talented players: Montigo Alford (175-PG, college: Boise St.) a small but strong point guard out of Boise State with experience in the Germany minor divisions, very fast and good floor general, Quinton Watkins (193-G) a versatile scoring wing that had good numbers at college and Paul Egwuonwu (206-C-91, college: Montana St.) a smart center/forward with great basketball IQ and nice shooting touch, with experience in the UK and the Czech Republic

Gonzalez is a hard working coach, he spend time at LA working out with several American players trying to find the right ones to come to the country.

LB/ And what about the Colombians?
BG/ The team owner is working to close deals with John Hernandez and Rodrigo Caicedo but we confirmed that Freddy Asprilla is back to the team, I know him and i trust on his skills, I know that with the right job he can be back at his best level, I know he's a player that can play not just in Colombia but in stronger leagues like Brazil, Venezuela or Argentina.

Hernandez and Caicedo were at the USA working out with the coach, trying to get the best shape for the championship.
Gonzalez teams use to play a full court dynamic offensive style and a balanced pressure style on defense, now the 2017 Bucaros looks that could keep this style going.

We bring you last week's top performances from Colombians who are playing abroad and who all have had prior experience of national team duties at youth or senior level. This week's number one is an experienced international power forward Juan Palacios (206-85). He could not help Chalon/Saor (6-5) in their last game.
