LPB Round 2: Warriors lose to Titanes - Oct 6, 2018

There were only 2 rounds played so far and it's still very beginning of the Regular Season in LPB. Here is the last round review presented by ESL.

The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of Warriors (1-1) on the court of Titanes on Wednesday night. Visitors were defeated by Titanes 81-76. Titanes forced 19 Warriors turnovers. American guard Michael Sneed (196-82, college: Texas Southern) had a double-double by scoring 17 points, 11 rebounds and 5 assists to lead the charge for the winners and the other American import guard Xavier Roberson (186-90, college: Our Lady Lake, agency: Haylett Sports) chipped in 16 points and 4 assists during the contest. Swingman Edwar Steele (186-87) responded with 26 points and 6 steals (was perfect 7-for-7 from the free throw line). Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Titanes is looking forward to face Patriotas (#3) in Boyaca in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Warriors will play on the road against Piratas in Bogota and are hoping to prove to their fans that the loss was just an accident.

Jonh Hernandez (-84) notched a double-double by scoring 21 points, 15 rebounds and 4 blocks to lead the effort and Jose-Lopez Rodriguez supported him with 14 points and 7 rebounds. Even 29 points and 8 rebounds by American guard Xavier Roberson (186-90, college: Our Lady Lake, agency: Haylett Sports) did not help to save the game for Titanes. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Warriors will play against Piratas (#4) in Bogota in the next round. Titanes will play on the road against Patriotas in Boyaca and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
A very close game took place in Manizales between Sabios and Fast Break. Sabios (1-2) got a very close home victory over Fast Break (2-1). Sabios managed to escape with a 3-point win 87-84 on Friday evening. The best player for the winners was Bail Wannah who had a double-double by scoring 24 points and 15 rebounds. Karl Moore produced 17 points and 8 rebounds for the guests. Sabios will again meet at home Fast Break in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Fast Break will have a break next round.



Titanes - Warriors 81-76

Jonh Hernandez (-84) notched a double-double by scoring 21 points, 15 rebounds and 4 blocks to lead the effort and Jose-Lopez Rodriguez (-94) supported him with 14 points and 7 rebounds. Even 29 points and 8 rebounds by American guard Xavier Roberson (186-90, college: Our Lady Lake, agency: Haylett Sports) did not help to save the game for Titanes. His fellow American import guard Michael Sneed (196-82, college: Texas Southern) added 15 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists for the hosts. Five Warriors and four Titanes players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Warriors will play against Piratas (#4) in Bogota in the next round. The best player for the winners was Bail Wannah (-93) who had a double-double by scoring 24 points and 15 rebounds. The former international forward Freddy Asprilla (208-88, college: Canisius) chipped in a double-double by scoring 13 points and 17 rebounds. American Karl Moore (203-87, college: Culver Stockton) produced 17 points and 8 rebounds and his fellow American import guard Kenny Brown (188-91, college: Ferris St.) added 20 points respectively for the guests. Four Sabios and five Fast Break players scored in double figures. Sabios will again meet at home Fast Break in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Fast Break will have a break next round.
