There are only two more rounds left in the Regular Season in LPB. Coincidentally all hosts won their games. Here is the last round review presented by ESL.

The most important game in the last round took place in Boyaca between third ranked Piratas (3-7) and fourth ranked Patriotas (2-4) on Saturday night. Piratas were defeated by Patriotas on the road 90-76. Patriotas forced 19 Piratas turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 30 assists. The best player for the winners was Sweenet Iziahiah who scored 22 points and 9 rebounds. Hynton Zuchary chipped in 13 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists. At the other side the best for losing team was the former international power forward Jairo Mendoza (203-85, college: New Orleans) who recorded 21 points and 5 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Newly promoted Patriotas maintains fourth position with 2-4 record. Piratas at the other side keep the third place with seven games lost. Patriotas are looking forward to face league's second-placed Titanes in the next round and it may be the game of the week. Piratas will play against the league's leader Warriors and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
Very important is a road loss of third ranked Piratas (3-7) against fourth ranked Patriotas (2-4) on Friday night. Visiting Piratas were defeated by Patriotas in Boyaca 90-80. It was a good game for Sweenet Iziahiah who led his team to a victory with 32 points and 5 rebounds. Cristian Arboleda contributed with 9 points, 17 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. Venezuelan point guard Abrouse Acosta (180-92) replied with a double-double by scoring 17 points, 14 rebounds and 7 assists for Piratas. Piratas' coach rotated eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Newly promoted Patriotas maintains fourth position with 2-4 record. Piratas at the other side keep the third place with seven games lost. Patriotas will play against league's second-placed Titanes in the next round and it may be the game of the week. Piratas will play against the league's leader Warriors and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

Defending champion moved-up to second place, which they share with defeated Academia. Academia lost fourth consecutive game. Cimarrones will face league's leader Fast Break in Bogota in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Academia will play on the road against Sabios in Manizales and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

Rest of the games of round 6 were quite predictable and ended without any surprises. Here they are:
Academia were defeated by Cimarrones in Quibdo-Choco 76-72. Piratas beat Patriotas at home 89-75. Titanes were destroyed by Warriors on the opponent's court 96-71.
The best stats of 6th round was 17 points and 7 assists by Lennin Lopez of Cimarrones.



Piratas - Patriotas 74-66

An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Bogota. Third ranked Piratas faced one of their biggest challengers Patriotas. Host Piratas (3-7) defeated guests from Boyaca (2-4) 74-66. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Patriotas. Venezuelan swingman Morris Sierralta (190-87) scored 24 points and 4 steals to lead the charge for the winners and the former international power forward Jairo Mendoza (203-85, college: New Orleans) chipped in 15 points and 8 rebounds during the contest. The best for the losing side was international swingman Alvaro Pena (191-95) with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 11 rebounds and the former international point guard Rodrigo Caicedo (180-88) scored 12 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Piratas maintains third position with 3-7 record having just two point less than leader Warriors. Newly promoted Patriotas keep the fourth place with four games lost. Piratas will meet league's leader Warriors in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Patriotas will play against the league's second-placed Titanes and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

Jonh Hernandez (-84) notched 9 points and 23 rebounds to lead the effort and American Jaelyn Johnson-Coston (198-93, college: Florida Memorial) supported him with 17 points. Warriors' coach allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. Even 20 points and 5 rebounds by American forward Troy Jones (201-92, college: Tex.A&M-Kingsv.) did not help to save the game for Titanes. His fellow American import guard Xavier Roberson (186-90, college: Our Lady Lake, agency: Haylett Sports) added 16 points. They have a solid four-game winning streak. The best player for the winners was Venezuelan point guard Emiro Hernandez (188-94) who had a double-double by scoring 18 points and 10 assists (perfect from the field making all six shots).
