Titanes - Academia 58-63 Top ranked Titanes (12-4) recorded its fourth loss at the home court on Saturday night. Hosts were defeated by fourth ranked Academia (8-8) 63-58. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Titanes. The best player for the winners was international point guard Romario Roque (175-99) who scored 13 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists. American center Mike Chandler (203-92) chipped in 11 points and 9 rebounds. American guard Qiydar Davis (198-93, college: Indiana St., agency: SDJ Sports) produced 17 points and 7 rebounds and the former international guard Gianluca Bacci (187-89) added 15 points and 5 rebounds respectively for the hosts. Academia moved-up to third place. Defending champion Titanes still keep top position with four games lost. Dominican power forward Brayan Martinez (203-91) contributed with 7 points and 12 rebounds for the winners. Titanes' coach allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. American guard Dermaine Crockrell (185-89, college: Bemidji St.) stepped up and scored 25 points for the winners and the former international guard Stalin Ortiz (190-81, college: Valpo) chipped in 17 points and 8 rebounds. Crockrell is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Venezuelan point guard Emiro Hernandez (188-94) responded with 21 points and 7 rebounds and Argentinian forward Jose Materan-Suarez (200-96) scored 13 points. Cimarrones' coach rotated ten players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Fast Break have a solid series of four victories in a row. They maintain second place with 8-6 record having six points less than leader Titanes. Cimarrones at the other side keep the fifth position with ten games lost.
