Dermaine Crockrell claims Colombian LPB Interperformances weekly honour- October 28, 2019
The 30-year old guard had the game-high 25 points adding four rebounds for Fast Break in his team's victory, helping them to beat Cimarrones (#5, 6-10) 71-56. Fast Break maintains the 2nd position in Colombian LPB. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Fast Break will need more victories to improve their 8-6 record. In the team's last game Crockrell had a remarkable 61.5% from 2-point range. He turned to be Fast Break's top player in his first season with the team. Dermaine Crockrell averages this season 14.5ppg and 6.5rpg. Worth to mention Crockrell played also at Eurobasket Summer League, which helped him get the job in pro basketball. The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was 27-year old American center Mike Chandler (203-C-92) of Academia. Chandler impressed basketball fans with a double-double of 14 points and 13 rebounds. Bad luck as Academia lost that game 62-69 to slightly higher-ranked Titanes (#1, 12-4). It was definitely game of the week between two contenders to the title. Academia still maintains its place in the top 3 of the standings, even despite this loss. His team's 8-8 record is not bad at all. Chandler is a newcomer at Academia and despite he is not a team leader yet, every game he becomes more reliable player. Hopefully performances like the last one will happen more often. The third best performed player last round was Venezuelan Emiro Hernandez (188-PG-94) of Cimarrones (#5). Hernandez scored 21 points and grabbed seven rebounds. Despite Hernandez's great performance Cimarrones lost 56-71 to the higher-ranked Fast Break (#2, 8-6). But his team cannot count on just a single player as he also needs help of the other teammates. The chances of Cimarrones not to end season at such low position in the league, however are less than slim as they have already lost 10 games, recording just six victories. With bigger assistance of his teammates, Hernandez could try to bring Cimarrones' a little bit higher in the standings. Hernandez has individually a great season in Colombia. After 14 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 15.6ppg (7th best) and assists with 2.9apg (5th best). Other top performing players last week: 4. T Cobos) of Fast Break - 19 points and 7 rebounds 5. Alejandro Minota (191-G/F-98) of Academia - 13 points and 5 rebounds 6. Luis Jacobo (196-G/F-91) of Titanes - 24 points and 4 rebounds 7. Michael Hinestroza (208-F/C-90) of Titanes - 11 points and 9 rebounds 10. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy. The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
