Adonte Parker (ex La Paz) is a newcomer at Team Cali

Adonte Parker

Newly promoted Team Cali (LPB) strengthened their roster with addition of 31-year old American point guard Adonte Parker (186-89, college: Dayton). He played last summer at Mantarrayas de La Paz in Mexican CIBACOPA. In 5 games he recorded 13.0ppg, 3.0rpg, 6.8apg (top 3) and 1.8spg. The last season Parker played at Soles (LNBP) in Mexican league where in 45 games he averaged 7.8ppg, 1.6rpg and 2.3apg. He helped them to win the league title.
He is quite experienced player. Thanks to Parker's pro career he managed to play on three different continents (Europe, Latin America and of course North America) in six different countries. Parker has played previously professionally in Bulgaria (Beroe), Germany (MBC and Bayer Giants), Hungary (Sopron KC), Lithuania (Nevezis), Poland (Polfarmex) and Turkey (Gelisim and Gediz).
The list of the past achievements is quite long as among others Parker received Eurobasket.com German Bundesliga All-Newcomers Team award back in 2014.
He is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top summer league for players who want to play basketball overseas.
Parker attended University of Dayton until 2012 and it will be his ninth season as a professional player.
The scouts decsribe him following way: A strong and quick guard, can be been dominant on the court and is and exemplary off the court. Despite being the focal point of opposing defenses, Parker maintains high shooting percentages in his first pro season.
