Braian Angola-Rodas
Braian Angola-Rodas
#1. This week's number one is an international guard Braian Angola-Rodas (198-94, agency: Wasserman, college: FSU, currently plays in Israel). He was the major contributor in an Ironi Nes-Ziona's victory against the closely-ranked Hapoel Tel-Aviv (3-11) 76-66 in the Israeli Winner League in Thursday night's game. Angola-Rodas had a double-double by scoring 20 points and getting 10 rebounds in 36 minutes on the court; quite an impressive performance considering it's only his third season in pro basketball. Ironi Hai Motors Nes-Ziona (7-7) is placed eighth in the Winner League. It's Angola-Rodas' first year with the team. Angola-Rodas has individually a very good season with high stats. He averages: 17.2ppg, 8.1rpg, 2.0apg, 1.1spg, 2FGP: 38.8%, 3FGP: 35.1% and FT: 73.6% in nine games he played so far. Angola-Rodas is currently a member of the Colombian senior national team.

#2. Second place goes to an international forward Andres Ibarguen (198-96, college: Angelo St., currently plays in Holland). He led Yoast United to a victory over the tenth-ranked Almere (1-8) crushing them 101-64 in the Dutch DBL last Thursday. Ibarguen was MVP of the game. He recorded 22 points and grabbed 6 rebounds; not bad, considering it's only Ibarguen's third season in pro basketball. Yoast United (6-4) is placed sixth in the DBL. His team will play only one more game in the Regular Season. And that game will be critical. It's Ibarguen's first year with the team. This season Ibarguen has very high stats. He averages: 15.9ppg, 9.3rpg, 1.1spg, 2FGP: 69.6%(64-92) and FT: 83.8%. Ibarguen is in the roster of the Colombian senior national team.
