Bucaros land Anthony McClain, ex Singapore S.- April 22, 2021

Bucaros de Bucaramanga (LPB) landed 32-year old American center Anthony McClain (211cm-120kg-88, college: Cincinnati Agency: Benalloul Sports Management) for the new season. He played most recently at Jobstreet.com Singapore Slingers in the ASEAN League. In 16 games he averaged an impressive 15.3ppg, 13.3rpg (#4 in the league), 1.0apg, and 3.7bpg previous season. He can count that year as very successful as was selected to Asia-Basket.com All-ASEAN League Honorable Mention. McClain is a very experienced player. And here thanks to pro basketball he experienced life in seven different countries playing on four different continents. He is familiar with European, Asian, African, and of course North American leagues. McClain has played previously professionally in Malaysia (PRG Warriors), Slovakia (Nitra), Taiwan (Dacin Tigers), Tunisia (US Monastir), Libya (Ahly Benghazi), Czech Republic (Brno), and Thailand (Raptors, Mono Vampire, Hitech, Mono Thew, and Thai General Equipment). Among many awards, McClain's team made it to the Thailand Basketball League Semifinals in 2017 and 2019. He received also the Asia-Basket.com All-Thailand Basketball League Player of the Year award and the Asia-basket.com All-Taiwanese SBL Defensive Player of the Year award in 2019. He attended the University of Cincinnati until 2012 and it will be his tenth season in pro basketball. |
