Titanes sign Ernesto Oglivie, ex Caballos- April 28, 2021
Oglivie represented Panama at the Centrobasket in Panama City (Panama) five years ago. His team got to the Semifinals and his stats at that event were 6 games: 7.3ppg, 6.3rpg, 1.0apg, FGP: 62.1%, FT: 53.3%. Oglivie is quite experienced player. He has played also professionally in Argentina (Ferro), Paraguay (Sol de America), Uruguay (Trouville), El Salvador (Denver-FAS San Salvador, San Marcos and Isidro Metapan), Panama (Navieros, Halcones, Correcaminos and Los Tigres), Mexico (Lechugueros, Abejas and Astros) and Ecuador (ComuniKT). He was also voted Latinbasket.com All-Basketball Champions League Americas 2nd Team in 2021. Oglivie's team was regular season runner-up in Mexican LNBP West Division in 2020. Oglivie could be described: A talented forward, who has the athletic skills and the quickness to outstood at the two forward positions. Can score from outside and he's very effective when he penetrates inside to finish. The best player in his age group who posesses a similar game to Jamaal Levy. He is more of a scorer than Levy but is not the rebounder or defender that Levy is. Has solid instincts around the basket and can put the ball on the ground in the midrange and get to the rim. Not a shooter but this skill can come with time. Biggest issue will be figuring out his true position at this point. Best young home grown talent in Panama at the moment.
