Colombian LPB round 5 best performance: Jezreel De Jesus- May 16, 2021
The 29-year old player got a double-double of 35 points and 12 assists, while his team crushed Cafeteros (#3, 5-2) with 21-point margin 104-83. Thanks to this victory Hurricanes moved-up to the 9th position in Colombian LPB. Too late to salvage the team, which is currently ranked such low. They already lost 5 games and recorded just two victories. In the team's last game De Jesus had a remarkable 60.0% from 2-point range and got five three-pointers out of 8 attempts. He just recently signed at Hurricanes, being already a very valuable addition to the team. Jezreel De Jesus has solid league stats. He is in league's top in points (5th best: 21.2ppg) and assists (3rd best: 5.8apg). The second best player in last round's games was 24-year old American Leron Black (201-F-96) of Team Cali. Black had a very good evening with a double-double of 30 points and 12 rebounds. Bad luck as Team Cali was edged by slightly higher-ranked Storm (#8, 2-5) 77-75. Team Cali are still at the very bottom. 7 lost games are too many considering they did not win any game. Black is a newcomer at Team Cali, but is already one of team's top players. Third on the list of top players last round was American forward Timajh Parker-Rivera (202-F-94) of Piratas (#6). Parker-Rivera scored 24 points and grabbed seven rebounds. Despite Parker-Rivera's great performance Piratas lost 97-104 to slightly higher-ranked Bucaros (#4, 4-3). But his team cannot count on just a single player as he also needs help of the other teammates. The chances of Piratas ranking at the top of the league, however are very questionable as they have already lost 4 games, recording just three victories. With bigger assistance of his teammates, Parker-Rivera could help Piratas to bring them higher in the standings. Parker-Rivera has a very solid season. In 4 games in Colombia he scored 14.3ppg. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy. The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
