Hurricanes land Anthony Kent, ex Instituto

Newly promoted Hurricanes de San Andres (LPB) tabbed experienced 37-year old American 208cm power forward Anthony Kent, college: Ball State. He moved there from Instituto in Argentinian La Liga. But in two games he averaged just 1.0ppg and 1.5rpg last season. Kent also played for Obera Tennis Club (La Liga) in Argentina where in 31 games he had 11.2ppg and 6.1rpg.
Kent is a very experienced player. And here thanks to pro basketball he experienced life in nine different countries playing on three different continents. He is familiar with Asian, Latin American and of course North American leagues. Kent has played previously professionally in Chile (Universidad de Concepcion), France, Japan (Ryukyu Golden Kings Okinawa, Akita Northern Happinets and Aomori Watts), Paraguay (Olimpia), Uruguay (Atletico Welcome), Venezuela (Panteras), Argentina (Argentino and Quimsa), NBA G League (Fort Wayne Mad Ants, Maine RC and Westchester Knicks) and The Basketball Tournament (Fort Wayne Champs).
He won Basketball s League Americas championship title in 2020.
It may be one of last seasons in his extensive career, which he may end at Hurricanes.
Kent attended Ball State until 2006 and it will be his 16th (!!!) season in pro basketball.
