Duke Mondy (ex Odessa) signs at Cafeteros

Cafeteros de Armenia (DPB) landed 30-year old American 193cm guard Duke Mondy (college: Oakland) for upcoming season. Mondy played most recently at BC Odessa in Ukrainian Superleague. In 21 games he averaged 7.4ppg, 2.3rpg, 4.5apg and 1.3spg previous season.
The previous (19-20) season he played at GTK in Polish EBL where in 20 games he had 12.8ppg, 3.2rpg, 6.4apg (top 3) and 1.6spg. He also played 3 games in Alpe Adria Cup where he recorded 8.0ppg, 2.3rpg, 3.0apg and 2.7spg.
In 2014 he was drafted by Rio Grande Valley Vipers (D-League) in fourth round (68th overall).
The former Oakland University star is in his eighth season in pro basketball.
Mondy is a very experienced player. He has quite traveled the world as his pro career brought him to four different countries on three different continents (Europe, Latin America and of course North America). Mondy has played previously professionally in Canada (Moncton Magic and Highlanders), Luxembourg (Arantia), Mexico (Ostioneros de Guaymas) and NBA G League (Sioux Falls Skyforce and Texas Legends).
He was voted to Horizon League All-Defensive Team back in 2014.
