Colombian Liga Wplay round 2 best performance: Jonathan Rodriguez

Dominican Rep.-Puerto Rican Shooting guard Jonathan Rodriguez (196-SG-1987) put on an amazing game in the last round for top-ranked Titanes, receiving a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 2.
The 35-year old player had a double-double of 25 points and 17 rebounds, while his team beat Bucaros (#5, 0-2), the league's bottom-ranked team 83-75. It allowed Titanes to consolidate first place in the Colombian Liga Wplay. The season is still on an early stage, but Titanes already had a very good start winning all 6 without losing a single one. In the team's last game Rodriguez had a remarkable 70.0% from 2-point range. He turned to be Titanes' top player in his first season with the team. Former Campbell University star has very solid stats this year. Rodriguez is league's best scorer averaging so far 18.3ppg. Rodriguez is in league's top in rebounds (4th best: 8.8rpg), assists (4th best: 2.3apg) and averages impressive 62.0% FGP.

The second best player in last round's games was young American Michael Ramey (194-SG-1993) of Condores. Ramey had a very good evening with 31 points, 6 rebounds and 2 assists. Bad luck as Condores lost that game 71-79 to Cimarrones (3-2). The season is still at the very beginning and this lost game may not be such crucial, of course if they start win the games. He also registered 4.3 boards per game. Former University of Southern Mississippi star Ramey is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market.

Third on the list of top players last round was American forward Akeem Ellis (196-PF-1990, agency: BIG) of league's second-best Cimarrones. Ellis scored 25 points and grabbed eight rebounds. He was a key player of Cimarrones, leading his team to a 86-74 win against Condores (#5, 1-3). Cimarrones needs these victories very badly if they think about taking over top position in Group B. Their record at this point is 3 victories and 2 lost games. Ellis has a great season in Colombia. After only 4 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 15.3ppg (9th best).
