Liga Wplay Round 6: Piratas beat Cimarrones in the most crucial game of the week

Here is the last round review presented by Job Market.

An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Bogota. Third ranked Piratas faced second-best Cimarrones. Host Piratas (4-2) defeated guests from Quibdo-Choco (5-3) 96-82. It ended at the same time the five-game winning streak of Cimarrones. Piratas made 22-of-26 free shots (84.6 percent) during the game. They outrebounded Cimarrones 50-37 including 16 on the offensive glass. The best player for the winners was American point guard Jeremy Smith (180-1997, college: CSUSB) who scored 39 points (!!!), 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Forward Sebastian Valencia (200-1997) chipped in 16 points and 19 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was American guard Lysander Bracey (193-1996, college: Hampton) who recorded 21 points and 5 assists. Piratas maintains third position with 4-2 record having just two points less than leader Team Cali. Cimarrones at the other side keep the second place with three games lost.
The game in Medellin was also worth to mention about. Fourth ranked Bucaros (2-3) played at the court of 5th ranked Tigrillos (1-6). Bucaros managed to secure a 8-point victory 96-88. It was a good game for American Jeremy Hollowell (203-1994, college: Georgia St.) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 21 points, 13 rebounds and 4 assists. Maolin Colina contributed with 21 points for the winners. Argentinian Patricio Pinero (195-1995) replied with 30 points and 6 rebounds for Tigrillos. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Bucaros maintains fourth position with 2-3 record. Tigrillos lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the fifth place with six games lost.
