25-year old Paula Charry (1997) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for Hormigas ILBS and receives a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 3.
She had a double-double of 19 points and 17 rebounds, while her team beat Medellin (2-2) 80-67. The game was between two of the league's top four teams. Hormigas ILBS maintains the 3rd position in Colombian LSBF. Hormigas ILBS is a typical solid league team placed somewhere in the middle or a little bit lower in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 2-2 record. It was one of impressive evenings for Charry as usually she does not deliver so high stats. Charry has impressive league stats. She is in league's top in rebounds (4th best: 11.0rpg).
Second best performed player last round was Manuela Rios (165-F-1997) of top-ranked Indeportes. She is international forward in her first season at Indeportes. In the last game Rios recorded impressive 18 points, 4 rebounds and 4 assists. Of course she led Indeportes to another comfortable win outscoring Soacha (1-3) 68-45. A very good start of the season for her team, which won so far all 4 games without any defeat. Rios is a newcomer at Indeportes and despite she is not a team leader yet, every game she becomes more reliable player. Hopefully performances like the last one will happen more often.
Third place about best performers goes to another Hormigas ILBS's star - guard Laura Acosta (G-1999). Acosta scored 29 points. She was another key player of Hormigas ILBS, helping her team with a 80-67 easy win against #4 ranked Medellin in a game of the week. Hormigas ILBS needs these victories very badly if they think about getting closer to top teams. Their record at this point is 2 victories and 2 lost games. Acosta has a great season in Colombia. After only 4 games, she made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 16.0ppg (3rd best).

The Player of the week is selected based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
