Cundinamarca - Soacha 43-54 Soacha has registered their first victory this season after three consecutive losses. The win is especially important as it came on the road game in , where they defeated Cundinamarca (1-3) 54-43 on Monday. Angela Ibanez fired a double-double by scoring 16 points and 12 rebounds for the winners. Forward Laura Ayala (173-2001) chipped in 14 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists. Four Soacha players scored in double figures. Forward Stephany Mayo (-1993) produced 8 points and 19 rebounds and forward Leidy Montano (173-2004) added 9 points respectively for lost side. Cundinamarca's coach tested twelve players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Soacha left bottom position moving up to fifth place, which they share with defeated Cundinamarca. Soacha will meet at home league's second-placed Power in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Cundinamarca will play against Hormigas ILBS and it may be a tough game between close rivals. Power was defeated by Medellin in a tough game at home 59-65. Worth to mention a great performance of the former international forward Carolina Lopez (188-1998) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 15 points, 13 rebounds, 9 assists and 4 steals and forward Valentina Lopez (177-1999) who added 19 points and 5 rebounds during the contest. At the losing side the former international power forward Tania Valencia (177-1994) responded with a double-double by scoring 21 points and 13 rebounds and the former international power forward Wendy Coy (178-1998) scored 8 points and 16 rebounds. Power's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Medellin moved-up to second place, which they share with Power and Hormigas ILBS. Medellin is looking forward to face league's leader Indeportes in Antioquia in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Power will play on the road against Soacha and is hoping to win this game. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Hormigas ILBS. They outrebounded Hormigas ILBS 61-30 including a 23-1 advantage in offensive rebounds. The winners were led by the former international forward Yuliany Paz (195-2000) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 14 points and 13 rebounds and the former international forward Diana Prens (170-1995) supported her with 7 points and 12 rebounds. Even 13 points by Michelle Pardo did not help to save the game for Hormigas ILBS. Julieth Villegas added 9 points and 5 rebounds for lost side. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Indeportes have a solid four-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 4-0 record. Defending champion Hormigas ILBS dropped to the second place with two games lost. They share the position with Medellin and Power. Indeportes will play against Medellin (#4) at home in the next round. Hormigas ILBS will play against Cundinamarca and hopes to get back on the winning track.
