Yuliany Paz
International Forward Yuliany Paz (195-F-2000) had a great game in the last round for top-ranked Indeportes, receiving a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 4.
The 22-year old player had a double-double of 14 points and 13 rebounds, while her team crushed Hormigas ILBS (#3, 3-2) with 25-point margin 74-49. The game was between two of the league's top four teams. It allowed Indeportes to consolidate first place in the Colombian LSBF. They maintain a perfect record without any lost game in the league. The season is still on an early stage, but Indeportes already had a very good start winning all 5 without losing a single one. It's Paz's second year at Indeportes and it's hard to imagine this team without her. Yuliany Paz has solid league stats. She is in league's top in points (8th best: 11.4ppg), rebounds (2nd best: 10.4rpg) and averages impressive 53.5% FGP.
The second best player in last round's games was young Laura Ayala (173-F-2001) of Soacha. Ayala had a very good evening with 14 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists. Of course Soacha cruised to a 54-43 relatively comfortable win over slightly higher-ranked Cundinamarca (1-4). Despite this victory they still are the league outsider. 4 lost games are too many comparing to just one victory Soacha managed to get this year. Ayala is a newcomer at Soacha, but is already one of team's top players.
Third on the list of top players last round was international forward Tania Valencia (177-F/C-1994) of league's second-best Power. Valencia scored 21 points and grabbed thirteen rebounds (!!!). Despite Valencia's great performance Power lost 59-65 to #4 ranked Medellin. But her team cannot count on just a single player as she also needs help of the other teammates especially in such crucial game. The last thing Power needs is to lose another game like this one. They lose more and more distance to the top teams. Their record is 3 victories and 2 lost games. Valencia has a great season in Colombia. After only 5 games, she made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 12.0ppg (7th best) and rebounds with 8.2rpg (7th best).
Other top performing players last week:
4. Carolina Lopez (188-F-1998) of Medellin - 15 points, 13 rebounds and 9 assists
5. Stephany Mayo (F-1993) of Cundinamarca - 8 points, 19 rebounds and 2 assists

10. Carolina Giraldo (G-1993) of Soacha - 11 points and 9 rebounds
The Player of the week is selected based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
