Liga WPlay 2023 - Fernando Lucena comes back to Cafeteros

Cafeteros de Armenia (Liga Wplay) strengthened their roster with addition of experienced 37-year old Venezuelan-Colombian point guard Fernando Lucena (185cm-1986) for season 2023. It is actually his comeback to Cafeteros as he has played here before. Lucena just played at Gigantes in Venezuelan SPB league. In 12 games just recently he recorded 5.3ppg and 1.3rpg last season.
He has played previously professionally in Venezuela (Panteras, Gatos, Acereros, Guacharos and Cangrejeros) and Colombia (Barrancabermeja Ciudad Futuro, Aguilas, Hormigueros, Halcones and Bucaros).
The list of the past achievements is quite long as among others he played in the final of Colombian LPB Clausura in 2022. Lucena was voted to Latinbasket.com All-Venezuelan LNB Honorable Mention back in 2017.
