Liga WPlay 2023 - Cafeteros land Tonny Trocha-Morelos

Cafeteros de Armenia (Liga Wplay) landed Colombian international 208cm power forward Tonny Trocha-Morelos (college: Texas A&M). Trocha-Morelos moved there from HK Eastern in Hong Kong D1 league. In 18 games he averaged 12.3ppg, 7.2rpg, 2.8apg, 1.3spg and 1.4bpg last season. He helped them to win the ASEAN League championship. Trocha-Morelos can count that season as a very successful as was awarded Asia-Basket.com All-ASEAN League Finals MVP and voted to Honorable Mention. The last summer he was tested by Marinos (SPB) in Venezuelan league.
He has been a member of Colombian international program for some years. Trocha-Morelos has been regularly called to Colombian senior team since 2010 and previously for U18 National Team back in 2012.
He is a very experienced player. And here thanks to pro basketball he experienced life on four different continents. Trocha-Morelos is familiar with European, Asian, Latin American and of course North American leagues. He has played previously professionally in Argentina (Boca), Bulgaria (Chernomorets), Sweden (Jamtland) and Colombia (Warriors and Titanes).
Among many awards he was selected Latinbasket.com All-Colombian LPB Clausura Defensive Player of the Year in 2022.
Trocha-Morelos graduated from Texas A&M University in 2018 and it will be his fifth season in pro basketball.
