Chivata's 18 points and 9 rebounds give her Hoops Agents Player of the Week award

20-year old forward Gabriela Chivata (165-F-2002) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for league's best team Guerreros and receives a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 8.
She had the game-high 18 points adding nine rebounds for Guerreros in her team's victory, helping them to crush Bogota (#5, 4-6) with 22-point margin 69-47. It allowed Guerreros to take over top position in the Colombian LSBF. They maintain a perfect record without any lost game in the league. It's already very far into the season and Guerreros keeps a perfect 10-0 record. Chivata just recently signed at Guerreros, being already a very valuable addition to the team. Chivata has impressive league stats. She is in league's top in points (9th best: 11.4ppg), assists (8th best: 1.7apg) and averages solid 2.7spg and 41.0% from behind 3-point line.

Second best performed player last round was Isabel Rodriguez (175-SG-1999) of Escuela. She is international guard in her first season at Escuela. In the last game Rodriguez recorded impressive double-double of 31 points and 10 rebounds. Bad luck as Escuela was edged by slightly higher-ranked Caldas (#2, 5-3) 58-56. It was definitely game of the week between two contenders to the top position in Southwest. Escuela still maintains its place in the top 4 of the standings, even despite this loss. 5 lost games are too many comparing to just two victories Escuela managed to get this year. Rodriguez is one of the most experienced players at Escuela and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players. She belongs to the best scorers in the league with 15.6ppg (#1). She also registered 6.1 boards per game.

Third place about best performers goes to another Guerreros' star - forward Wendy Coy (178-F/C-1998). Coy scored 15 points and grabbed fifteen rebounds (!!!). She was another key player of Guerreros, helping her team with a 69-47 easy win against the lower-ranked Bogota (#5, 4-6). Guerreros have amazing season winning all 10 games without a single defeat in Center. Coy turns to be one of the very best players in the league while she is also a leader of the top team having her eyes on the championship title. Coy has a great season in Colombia. After 10 games, she made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 13.2ppg (2nd best) and rebounds with 10.4rpg (2nd best).
