Jaguars sign Daniela Gonzalez

The University of South Alabama signed 21-year-old Colombian international forward Daniela Gonzalez (6'0''). The Jamundi native moved there from the University of South Florida, where she spent her freshman year. In 32 games in the USA, she had 6.1ppg and 3.7rpg last season.
She played at Leonas Inder Medellin Antioqui from 2019-2022 and then at Azucareras Palmira in 2023. Her team won the AAC Regular Season Championship in 2023.
She has been a member of the Colombian international program for some years. She has regularly played for the Colombian senior team since 2019 and previously for the Under 19 National Team in 2019.
She also repped Colombia at the FIBA South American Women's Championship in San Luis (Argentina) 2 years ago. Her squad snagged Bronze and her stats were 5 games: 8.8ppg, 6.0rpg, 1.8apg, 1.0spg, Blocks-4(1.2bpg), FGP: 37.5%, 3PT: 23.1%, FT: 80.0%.
In 2017, she was voted to Latinbasket.com All-FIBA Americas U16 Honorable Mention. She was named to Latinbasket.com All-South American Championships U17 First Team in 2017 and 2019. Her team won the Liga Sudamericana Championship in 2019. Additionally, her team won Latinbasket.com All-South American U17 and Latinbasket.com All-South American U17 Best Center in 2019.
