This derby game ended with only one-point defeat on the road of 5th ranked Corsarios (3-9) to eighth ranked Piratas (3-9) 76-75 in the game for the fifth place. American guard Tristan Jarrett (193-1998, college: Jackson St.) scored 25 points, 6 rebounds, 4 assists and 5 steals to lead the charge for the winners and the other American import point guard Jeremy Smith (180-1997, college: CSUSB, agency: Diamond Sports) chipped in 20 points and 6 assists during the contest. American swingman Jalen Brooks (196, college: LSUS, agency: Players Group) responded with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 12 rebounds. Piratas moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Toros Del Valle and Corsarios. Corsarios lost fifth consecutive game. Piratas is again looking forward to face Corsarios (#5) in Cartagena in the next round. Corsarios will have a break next round.

Storm's coach Jaime Ortiz allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Even a double-double of 25 points and 12 rebounds by American swingman Jalen Brooks (196, college: LSUS, agency: Players Group) did not help to save the game for Corsarios. Carrib.Storm maintains first position with 10-2 record. Corsarios lost fifth consecutive game. They keep the fifth place with nine games lost. They share the position with Piratas and Toros Del Valle. Carrib.Storm will play against Titanes (#3) in Barranquilla in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Mateo Diaz produced 15 points and 4 assists (was perfect 8-for-8 from the free throw line) for the hosts. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Motilones have a solid four-game winning streak. They maintain fourth position with 7-4 record. Toros Del Valle at the other side keeps the fifth place with nine games lost. They share the position with Piratas and Corsarios. Motilones will meet bottom-ranked Cimarrones (#8) in the next round. Toros Del Valle will play against the league's second-placed Bucaros and hope to secure a win.
