Mateo Diaz claims Colombian Liga Wplay weekly honour

Talented Argentinian-Italian Mateo Diaz (186-G-2002) had a very impressive game in the last round for Toros Del Valle and that's him to receive a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 15.
The 21-year old guard had the game-high 39 points adding five rebounds and four assists for Toros Del Valle as his team lost the game against Bucaros (#2, 11-4) 61-86. Toros maintains the 6th position in Colombian Liga Wplay. The season is in a full swing, so it's only a dream for the team to make it into top half of the standings. For contrary they may face relegation if the situation turns from bad to worse. Toros Del Valle have already lost 10 games and recorded just four victories. In the team's last game Diaz had a remarkable 70.0% from 2-point range and got six three-pointers out of 8 attempts. He just recently signed at Toros, being already a very valuable addition to the team. Mateo Diaz averages this season 19.0ppg and 5.8rpg.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was young American swingman RJ Gunn (201-G/F-1999, agency: Players Group) of Corsarios Cartagena. Gunn impressed basketball fans with a double-double of 25 points and 10 rebounds. The third best performed player last round was another Corsarios' star - American Jalen Brooks (196-G/F, agency: Players Group). Brooks showcased his all-around game by recording 18 points, 12 rebounds (!!!) and 4 assists in the last round. He was another key player of Corsarios Cartagena, helping his team with a 81-75 win against the lower-ranked Piratas (#8, 3-12). The chances of Corsarios not to end season at such low position in the league, however are less than slim as they have already lost 9 games, recording just five victories. With bigger assistance of his teammates, Brooks could try to bring Corsarios' a little bit higher in the standings. Brooks has individually a great season in Colombia. After 14 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 17.9ppg (5th best) and rebounds with 9.6rpg (3rd best). He also has 2.6spg and a FGP of 59.7%.
