24-year old Dominican Rep. power forward Juan Rosario (203-F/C-1999, agency: BMS Sport Agency) had an amazing evening in the last round for Motilones del Norte and receives a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 16.
He had a double-double of 18 points and 12 rebounds, while his team beat Toros Del Valle (#6, 4-12) 96-87. Motilones maintains the 3rd position in Colombian league. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Motilones will need more victories to improve their 12-4 record. Rosario just recently signed at Motilones, being already a very valuable addition to the team. Rosario has impressive league stats. He is in league's top in points (3rd best: 19.5ppg) and averages solid 2.5bpg and 62.8% FGP.

Second best performed player last round was Hansel Atencia (178-PG-1997) of Titanes de Barranquilla. He is naturalized Spanish guard in his first season at Titanes. In the last game Atencia recorded an impressive 26 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists. Bad luck as Titanes was edged by the higher-ranked Carrib.Storm (#1, 14-2) 77-74. It was definitely game of the week between two contenders to the title. Titanes still maintains its place in the top 4 of the standings, even despite this loss. His team's 11-7 record is not bad at all. Atencia is one of the most experienced players at Titanes and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 16.0ppg (#8). His other stats are also decent: 4.3rpg and 4.7apg.

Third place about best performers goes to guard Mateo Diaz (186-G-2002) of Toros Del Valle (#6). Diaz showcased his all-around game by recording 24 points, 11 rebounds (!!!) and 6 assists in the last round. Despite Diaz's great performance the Toros lost 87-96 to the higher-ranked Motilones (#3, 12-4). But his team cannot count on just a single player as he also needs help of the other teammates. Toros Del Valle can only dream about fighting for top spots in the league. They have rather bad season and 4-12 record places them close to the bottom of the standings. Diaz has a very solid season. In 7 games in Colombia he scored 20.0ppg. He also has 6.9rpg, 4.0apg and and 3PT: 42.0%.

The Player of the week is selected based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3*(REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4*(2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3*(2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3*(3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
