International Power forward Sebastian Valencia (200-F/C-1997) put on an amazing game in the last round for second-ranked Bucaros de Bucaramanga, receiving a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 17.
The 26-year old player was the main contributor (24 points, eight rebounds and eight assists) to his team's victory, helping them to beat Cimarrones (#8, 3-17) 99-92. Bucaros is placed at 2nd position in Colombian Liga WPlay. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Bucaros will need more victories to improve their 14-5 record. In the team's last game Valencia had a remarkable four three-pointers out of 9 attempts. He just recently signed at Bucaros, being already a very valuable addition to the team. Sebastian Valencia has solid league stats. He is in league's top in rebounds (7th best: 8.1rpg) and averages impressive 52.5% FGP.

The second best player in last round's games was young American Jeremy Smith (180-PG-1997, agency: Diamond Sports) of Piratas de Bogota. Smith had a very good evening with 34 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists. It was enough for Piratas to edge slightly higher-ranked Titanes (#4, 11-7) 104-99. Piratas' 6th position in the standings has not changed. His team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 6-14 record. Smith is one of the most experienced players at Piratas and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 18.9ppg (#4). His other stats are also decent: 4.7rpg and 4.9apg.

Third on the list of top players last round was Panamanian forward Ernesto Oglivie (203-PF-1989) of Titanes de Barranquilla (#4). Oglivie showcased his all-around game by recording 24 points, 15 rebounds (!!!) and 4 assists in the last round. Despite Oglivie's great performance the Titanes lost 99-104 to slightly lower-ranked Piratas (#6, 6-14). But his team cannot count on just a single player as he also needs help of the other teammates. The last thing Titanes needs is to lose another game like this one. They lose more and more distance to the top teams. Their record is 11 victories and 7 lost games. Oglivie has a very solid season. In 8 games in Colombia he scored 18.9ppg. He also has 7.3rpg and a FGP of 57.4%.
