Worth to mention a great performance of Nigerian-American power forward Gani Lawal (206-1988, college: Georgia Tech) who helped to win the game recording 33 points (!!!) and 6 rebounds. American guard Nathan Priddy (188-1999, college: Elon) contributed with 20 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists for the winners. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Bucaros moved-up to second place, which they share with Motilones. Carrib.Storm at the other side still keeps top position with five games lost.
Important game to mention about took place in Cali. Sixth ranked Toros (7-13) saved a 2-point victory at home edging 4th placed Titanes (14-8) 84-82 on Tuesday evening. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Titanes. It was a great evening for Argentinian-Italian guard Mateo Diaz (186-2002) who led his team to a victory scoring 31 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists. Cristian Solis helped adding 16 points and 13 rebounds. Toros' coach allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. At the losing side Panamanian Ernesto Oglivie (203-1989) responded with 24 points. Toros Del Valle moved-up to fifth place. Defending champion Titanes keep the fourth position with eight games lost.
A very close game took place in Quibdo-Choco between Cimarrones and Corsarios. Eighth ranked Cimarrones (5-18) got a very close home victory over 6th ranked Corsarios (6-15). Cimarrones managed to escape with a 2-point win 81-79 on Saturday evening. It was an exceptional evening for Adris De Leon who led the winners and scored 25 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. Cimarrones' coach used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. RJ Gunn came up with 21 points and 7 rebounds for Corsarios in the defeat. Cimarrones maintains eighth place with 5-18 record. Corsarios lost fifth consecutive game. They dropped to the seventh position with 15 games lost.
Other games in round 19 were not that significant. Motilones beat Piratas on the road 97-83. Bottom-ranked Cimarrones won against Corsarios on its own court 84-80. Motilones unfortunately lost to Piratas in Bogota 94-102. Toros Del Valle lost to defending champion Titanes at home 67-103.
